For these examples, did you have a warning or an error when running cmake ?

Em.. hard to say, I cannot recall since I re-built cgal so that EXAMPLES are
ON.
I can get the log somewhere of course.. or better I am builting cgal once
more right now and let you know


You said that example are built, but you have no result. What does this 
mean? no executable get generated? 

yes, no executable

Which platforms, compiler are you using? 

I am on on mac os x 10.6.5 with g++ 4.2.1
